Welcome to this week's edition of the AES Updates. We're excited to share the latest happenings and updates from our school community to keep you informed and engaged.
This week we celebrated International Dot Day based on Peter H. Reynolds' book The Dot. Mrs. T's art students were creative and collaborative as the made their mark in a school display. We also, wore polka-dot shirts, socks, headbands!
We also celebrated Constitution Day by wearing red, white and blue. Mrs. Martin voluntarily worked with our second grade teams and gave individual class room lessons on the Constitution. A big thank you to Mrs. Martin! Picture below.
Today our PTO is sending home Rice Krispie Treats to celebrate National Rice Krispie Treat Day. Each treat has a QR code on it that links to the PTO Facebook page. Thank you PTO!

Our FLRSD Strategic Planning Team (SPT) cordially invites all parents and community members to its
2nd Focus Group Listening Sessions. The event is taking place on September 24, 2026.
On Monday, September 21, school bus riders will be practicing a rear door evacuation here at AES. Wearing comfortable clothing is a suggestion for ease of jumping down with assistance.
We are still in the process of looking for recess monitors. If you or someone you know would be interested in working two and one-half hours daily from 11:20-1:50, please ask them to apply on the

The Giving Tree, from St. John Neumann Church is again offering holiday assistance to AES families in need. The Giving Tree provides 3 gifts to each child in the family and delivers the gifts to AES the week before the holiday vacation. Please email me at

All information needs to be returned to me by October 23rd so I can forward the information to The Giving Tree.
